https://culturalcourage.substack.com/p/fraud-101-why-you-cant-determine
The key to a secure election is cleaning the voter registrations. By claiming that there was no election fraud and ignoring the 606,000 voters who are “invalid”, yet remain on the rolls, we are ensuring huge losses. We need to understand how that affects the voting process, and how relying solely on hand counting ballots misses that avenue of fraud. Completely. And no, it doesn’t mean we keep Dominion machines, we have to return to paper ballots and one day of voting and Election Day tabulation of results.
I defy you, by examining a paper ballot, to determine if the ballot was cast by a legally registered voter. What are you counting? You do not have a chain of custody when you are recounting the votes by hand, so how do you know that the last bag of ballots discovered days after the polls closed contains votes from actual voters?
In other words, once the absentee ballot leaves the envelope we lose the chain of custody and can’t distinguish if it’s “fake”. And looking at the ballot itself is useless. And it turns out that we discovered a bunch more ballots for Sara, in fact they were all for Sara but one! Amazing! Each year Sara’s party locates those votes, but we’re sure glad that they all were counted. And recounted. And recounted. Which ones are the Illegally Cast Votes, can you pick them out from the photo below?

Rochester Community Schools made national news this year when it told a parent that it would cost $33.1 million for the district to review 21,500 emails that contained some form of the phrase “anti-retaliation.”
The parent placed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the district. However, such claims of multi-million costs to recover information are not unheard of. In 2009, the Michigan State Police said a FOIA the Mackinac Center for Public Policy put in requesting information about Homeland Security spending would cost $6.8 million.
“For years, FOIA has suffered from the same problems,” said Steve Delie, an attorney who deals with FOIAs for the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. “Requests are too expensive, and government regularly takes so long to produce them that they lose most of their value. Even when records are produced, they are often so heavily redacted that they serve no purpose.”
Attorney General Dana Nessel has initiated lawsuits against out-of-state wineries for allegedly violating Michigan law by mailing their products directly to consumers without the required direct shipper license
But in several instances, Nessel has felt compelled to act, most recently joining a lawsuit against the Trump administration’s actions to dramatically downsize the Department of Education (Trump signed an order Thursday to all but eliminate that department).
The state is also leading multistate legal battles challenging billionaire Elon Musk’s actions at the Department of Government Efficiency and proposed reimbursement cuts at the National Institutes of Health that could lead to multimillion-dollar budget hits for Michigan universities.
In some cases, the challenge has resulted in temporary pauses or reversals of Trump policies while the case moves through the courts.
“Had we not brought these actions and had these policies been able to go through as planned by the executive, the damage to Michiganders is just absolutely irreparable and unsustainable,” Nessel said. “I don’t know if the public necessarily knows how much harm would have come to them.”
Outside of the courtroom, Nessel said her office has also had to spend significant time walking state agencies through the potential impacts of Trump’s actions on Michigan, such as executive orders denouncing “radical indoctrination” in schools and possible cuts to grant funding.
Nessel co-led a multistate lawsuit challenging proposed widespread funding cuts to federally funded medical and public health research at universities and major research institutions. The lawsuit argued that changes to a National Institutes of Health policy would disrupt research and cause layoffs. A federal judge temporarily blocked the change
Nessel co-led a 14-state coalition challenging Trump’s delegation of executive power to Elon Musk to run the new DOGE. The lawsuit argued that Trump violated the Constitution by creating a federal department without congressional approval and giving Musk sweeping authority
In the 2026 budget, Whitmer wants $676 million to fund no-fee preschool for four-year-olds and $61 million to continue and expand a pilot program to offer no-fee preschool to eligible three-year-olds.
Early education programs aim to give children an academic head start. But there is little evidence for any long-term benefits from the state’s taxpayer-funded preschool initiatives, according to Corey DeAngelis, visiting fellow at the American Institute for Economic Research.
“We shouldn’t expect tacking on one more year to a broken government school system to fix anything,” DeAngelis wrote in an email to Michigan Capitol Confidential.
Three months before teachers picketed outside a school board meeting in May 2024, Troy Public Schools Superintendent Richard Machesky took five out-of-state trips from December 2023 through February 2024.
He flew Delta Comfort+ every time, a step below first class, to Tucson, San Diego, Marco Island, and Washington D.C., according to a Freedom of Information Act request.
The school district picked up most of the tab.
Two of the trips were reimbursed by third parties, according to Kendra Montante, director of communications for the district, in an email to Michigan Capitol Confidential.
The first of the five trips was to the National Superintendents Forum and Special Education Congress in San Diego in December 2023.
“Students deserve to learn in schools that ensure basic safety, health, and wellness standards are met,” Kenneth Gutman, superintendent of the Oakland Schools intermediate school district, said during a media roundtable Thursday. The study, he said, “tells us we are a long way from our schools meeting those basic standards.
But Michigan does not provide direct funding to schools for facilities. Districts must seek voter approval for funds to improve buildings and make major repairs.
“We know what the facility needs are, and so now we have to decide as a state, what do we want to do?” Gutman said.
The study was completed by the School Finance Research Foundation, which was created after state lawmakers called for a comprehensive report on the true cost of meeting basic K-12 education needs. The foundation has previously released studies showing what it costs to educate students — and the prevailing inequities in Michigan’s school funding system. Some of its findings have already prompted action by state leaders, including a system created under Gov. Gretchen Whitmer that provides more funding to districts for the most vulnerable students, including those from low-income homes, students with disabilities, and English language learners.
Sen. Mallory McMorrow, D-Royal Oak, spoke in favor of the bill, arguing some countries had already determined they will phase out internal combustion engine vehicles within the next few years.
“If we do not position our state, our workers and our signature industry to respond to this transition that we are living in, we will get left behind,” McMorrow said.

“Anybody who is trying to convince you that it is a mandated transition is lying,” Sen. Mallory McMorrow, D-Royal Oak, said to close her speech.
But McMorrow started her remarks by admitting the role of governments in the transition.
“The reality is that more than a dozen countries around the world, including the population of most industrialized nations, have already determined that they will be phasing out internal combustion vehicles within a few years,” McMorrow said. “Maybe within the next five years, 10 years, 15 years, 20 years.”
Some Michigan Republicans want to block residents of “countries of concern” from buying property in broad swaths of the state to prevent “foreign adversaries” from infiltrating the United States.
The package of bills would target people and entities from China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria and Venezuela. Any “agency or other entity under significant control” of those countries would also be included.
Testifying to the state House Government Operations Committee on Thursday, state Rep. Gina Johnsen, R-Odessa Township, said there’s “growing concern” about foreign ownership of agricultural land, “particularly by entities from countries that may pose economic or security threats to the United States.”
Critics slammed the bills. In a statement, the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan called them “blatantly discriminatory and bigoted” and “an outright endorsement of xenophobia.”
“Property ownership should never be restricted based on nationality or immigration status,” the ACLU added.
Topping the export charts? Processed food products, raking in $636 million. Not far behind were sugar beet and soybean products, brewing waste, and animal feed at $393 million. Dairy followed at $303 million, with pasta, bread, and other starches bringing in $285 million. Michigan’s wood products rounded out the top categories with $252 million.
Canada continued to be Michigan’s biggest customer, scooping up $1.25 billion in goods. Other top buyers included Mexico, South Korea, Japan, and China. MDARD Director Tim Boring said Michigan’s agriculture sector is standing strong despite shaky global markets and new tariffs.
Madison’s concept of the Supremacy Clause has been twisted to create the very government that Madison and the Founding Fathers fought to prevent taking root. We’ll also take a look at Henry Kissinger’s book The Age of AI and how he twists the meaning of words.
The “in pursuance thereof” qualification is overlooked or downplayed. The Supremacy Clause states, “This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land”. The argument is that federal laws and treaties are only supreme if they are made in accordance with the powers delegated to the federal government by the Constitution. Actions by the federal government that exceed these enumerated powers are not made “in pursuance” of the Constitution and therefore should not be considered the supreme law of the land.
The current system allows the federal government, through the Supreme Court, to determine the extent of its own authority.
America Embraces the Tyranny its Founders Fought to Reject
This contrasts with the founders’ understanding of constitutional supremacy. The Founding Fathers believed that constitutions remained above governments and limited their actions. They explicitly rejected the British system where the government (Parliament) was sovereign and could define the constitution, rather than being limited by it. The American system was intended to have a written constitution that specifically circumscribed the scope of governmental power.
The concept of a “living, breathing” constitution, interpreted by the Supreme Court, is seen as undermining the fixed nature of the supreme law. Instead of adhering to the original meaning and intent of the written Constitution, the interpretation evolves, allowing for the expansion of federal power without formal amendment. This leads to a situation where the Constitution is no longer a firm check on government power but rather something that can be molded by the government itself, mirroring the British system the founders opposed.
The Tenth Amendment, which reserves powers not delegated to the federal government to the states or the people, is often seen as being undermined by an expansive interpretation of the Supremacy Clause. If the federal government can broadly define its powers under the guise of the Supremacy Clause, the reserved powers of the states and the people become less meaningful.
In essence, the argument for the misinterpretation of the Supremacy Clause is that it has been applied in a way that grants the federal government a level of authority the Founding Fathers never intended, effectively making the federal government the ultimate arbiter of its own power, rather than being bound by the original, limited grants of authority in the Constitution. This shift is seen as a move towards the kind of unlimited governmental power that the American Revolution was fought against.
In his essay Defense for Fugitive Slaves, Spooner attacks the constitutionality of the The Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 as well as Fugitive Slave Act of 1793, stating that since they are inherently contrary to Natural Law, they are nullified. If there is no Constitutional basis for slavery, then how can laws that compel compliance be followed? In addition, there were other unconstitutional elements of the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850, such as authorization of cases decided wholly on ex parte testimony, and prohibition of a writ of Habeas Corpus for those arrested. If the foundation of the laws are unconstitutional, then the Fugitive Slave Act was not a law at all, and could not be enforced by magistrates and officers.
unconstitutional statute is no law, in the view of the constitution. It is void, and confers no authority on any one; and whoever attempts to execute it, does so at his peril.
Spooner then lays out that to go along with an unconstitutional law until it is repealed, is your silent agreement as though that the law is actually constitutional. By function if that law is enforced and you do nothing, what is the difference? He asserts that it is our right to resist that law from the start, that right is absolute and unqualified.
To say that an unconstitutional law must be obeyed until it is repealed, is saying that an unconstitutional law is just as obligatory as a constitutional one,—for the latter is binding only until it is repealed. There would therefore be no difference at all between a constitutional and an unconstitutional law, in respect to their binding force; and that would be equivalent to abolishing the constitution, and giving to the government unlimited power.
Since our framework of justice is weakened if unjust laws are enforced, the act of resistance is itself constitutional. It makes the Constitution stronger.
The exercise of the right is neither rebellion against the constitution, nor revolution—it is a maintenance of the constitution itself, by keeping the government within the constitution. It is also a defence of the natural rights of the people, against robbers and trespassers, who attempt to set up their own personal authority and power, in opposition to those of the constitution and people, which they were appointed to administer

While investors may be excited by the creation of a super intelligent workforce that can run 24 x 7, there are constraints that are being ignored. The main fact is that our brains are incredibly efficient using energy when thinking. The duplicate the pure processing power in digital terms is beyond our current capacity, according to the Erasi Equation.
The Erasi Equation underscores the incredible energy efficiency of biological brains, a feat unmatched by our current computing technologies. The source attributes this efficiency to the intricate, multi-level architecture of brains, which allows for a vast number of computations at a minimal energy cost. This stands in stark contrast to the energy-intensive nature of silicon-based processors. In short a single human brain consumes 12 watts of electricity when thinking. For AI to perform calculations that are on par with human complex thinking, it most perform 27 million times more efficiently.
The Erasi Equation:
EASI = Ebrain * f * G * s
Let’s break down each component of the equation:

To be clear, the range of activities that Wen believes the government should deny to the unvaccinated is incredibly broad. And while it’s true that there’s no right to use a specific means of travel, the U.S. Constitution absolutely enshrines the right to engage in interstate travel more generally. If the unvaccinated were not allowed to take public transportation, travel to other states, or go outdoors, then the government would not be giving them the “choice” to stay unvaccinated in any meaningful sense.

The first was a March 2020 paper in the journal Nature Medicine, which was written by five prominent scientists, and which declared that no “laboratory-based scenario” for the pandemic virus was plausible. But we later learned through congressional subpoenas of their Slack conversations that while the scientists publicly said the scenario was implausible, privately, many of its authors considered the scenario to be not just plausible but likely. One of the authors of that paper, the evolutionary biologist Kristian Andersen, wrote in the Slack messages, “The lab escape version of this is so friggin’ likely to have happened because they were already doing this type of work and the molecular data is fully consistent with that scenario.”
Oakland County has confirmed the first case of measles in Michigan this year, raising concerns about potential outbreaks and the importance of vaccinations.
An Oakland County resident has been infected with the first known case of measles this year in Michigan, and health officials are warning that other people may have been exposed at a Rochester restaurant and a local emergency room.
Test results Friday confirmed the case of measles in an adult who had recently traveled overseas, said Kate Guzmán, Oakland County health officer.
Guzmán would say little about the individual who was infected, citing confidentiality concerns. The person returned from traveling on Feb. 27, developed symptoms on March 3 and then the tell-tale rash last Saturday, March 8. Twice, the resident sought treatment at Henry Ford Rochester Hospital emergency room and was admitted Tuesday on the second visit.
That little girls measles were starting to go away, she said. The face had cleared up.
Right. There was only a few little spots. She had had normal measles. And they took her into hospital. And it says here, just to get her checked out. Now, I think many of us have heard that line before and the other stories we did during Covid. But they really wanted to just go and get her checked out. Her temperature was spiking a bit. Of trouble, but she says. The mother actually says it wasn’t anything bad, just something I. Was concerned about the doctor had given her. This is before they knew Ben Edwards. Remember, everybody, the doctor had given her cough medicine and Tylenol.
And then when they got to the hospital. I’m just summarizing up what they said in this, and then Brian’s going to talk us to it. She had pneumonia in her left lung. Just a little, says the father. And she was drinking a lot to start with. She wanted a drink, but once she was ventilated. They were not allowed in to be with their six children. I can’t imagine leaving your six year old daughter on a ventilator in hospital. Mother can imagine that. The hospital, then rented them a hotel room, which I’ve never heard of in all the Covid stories that we’ve done. They sedated her, intubated her. The last thing she said she was thirsty. And that’s when the mother broke down, because the mom wanted to give her water, but they wouldn’t let her have water, which is to me really odd again. We heard this again. In the many stories we did on the road that these people are terribly thirsty and they’re not allowed to. This is the Covid pneumonia.

He held the position of visiting scholar at the Silicon Graphics, a company which focused on high performance graphics in computing. He currently is a research fellow at Microsoft, and has been vocal about the dangers of AI algorithms used in social media and the risk of yielding our agency to technology so readily. He is not a luddite by any stretch. Jaron does have an even handed view of the technological achievements of AI, but is a staunch proponent of the greater public gaining an understanding of the risks from AI. Those risks are not The Singularity or Skynet. Humans are the risk to other humans.
I share the belief of my cybernetic totalist colleagues that there will be huge and sudden changes in the near future brought about by technology. The difference is that I believe that whatever happens will be the responsibility of individual people who do specific things. I think that treating technology as if it were autonomous is the ultimate self-fulfilling prophecy. There is no difference between machine autonomy and the abdication of human responsibility.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lysander_Spooner
Spooner was born on a farm in Athol, Massachusetts, on January 19, 1808. Spooner’s parents were Asa and Dolly Spooner. One of his ancestors, William Spooner, arrived in Plymouth in 1637. Lysander was the second of nine children.
Spooner attained his highest profile as a figure in the abolitionist movement. His book The Unconstitutionality of Slavery, published in 1845, contributed to a controversy among abolitionists over whether the Constitution supported the institution of slavery. The disunionist faction led by William Lloyd Garrison and Wendell Phillips argued that the Constitution legally recognized and enforced the oppression of slaves as in the provisions for the capture of fugitive slaves in Article IV, Section 2
For Spooner, there was no no formal contract between the American people and the federal government. Spooner reflected many of sentiment of the Anti-Federalists like Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson. In other words the Constitution, because it didn’t behave like other contracts regarding renewals and participation with people signing or voting for continuing, was not a social contract.
Spooner believed that the U.S. Constitution as non-binding rests on his contractual theory of governance, emphasizing explicit individual consent and the inability of past generations to bind future ones. The Founding Fathers, particularly Federalists like Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay, articulated counterarguments through debates and writings such as The Federalist Papers. Here are their key rebuttals to Spooner’s claims:
Legal instruments like wills or deeds require renewal by successors; constitutions, he contended, should be no different
Even if ratified by a majority in 1788, descendants cannot be bound by decisions made “eighty years ago” without their explicit agreement
By permitting slavery, the document failed to uphold natural rights, undermining its claim to moral authority
He rejected the idea that a flawed contract could legitimize coercion, arguing that “usurpers … practising this tyranny” lack ethical standing
Spooner believed that the Constitution, which did not have signatories from the current generation, precluded members of Congress from being held responsible. While this may not be accepted as a legally valid today, it does illustrate how our government is functioning.
For still another reason they are neither our servants, agents, attorneys, nor representatives. And that reason is, that we do not make ourselves responsible for their acts. If a man is my servant, agent, or attorney, I necessarily make myself responsible for all his acts done within the limits of the power I have intrusted to him. If I have intrusted him, as my agent, with either absolute power, or any power at all, over the persons or properties of other men than myself, I thereby necessarily make myself responsible to those other persons for any injuries he may do them, so long as he acts within the limits of the power I have granted him. But no individual who may be injured in his person or property, by acts of Congress, can come to the individual electors, and hold them responsible for these acts of their so-called agents or representatives. This fact proves that these pretended agents of the people, of everybody, are really the agents of nobody.
If, then, nobody is individually responsible for the acts of Congress, the members of Congress are nobody’s agents. And if they are nobody’s agents, they are themselves individually responsible for their own acts, and for the acts of all whom they employ. And the authority they are exercising is simply their own individual authority; and, by the law of nature—the highest of all laws—anybody injured by their acts, anybody who is deprived by them of his property or his liberty, has the same right to hold them individually responsible, that he has to hold any other trespasser individually responsible. He has the same right to resist them, and their agents, that he has to resist any other trespasser

Not once did the admin offer proper countermeasures to offset the loss of production after mass government-led cullings nationwide. It’s almost as if the prior administration wanted egg-flation.

The United States announced that “the ball is in Russia’s court” after Ukraine accepted a U.S.-proposed 30-day ceasefire. President Trump expressed hope for Russia’s agreement, emphasizing the need for cooperation with President Putin. While Moscow has yet to respond, Kyiv experienced an air attack early Wednesday.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated Ukraine’s readiness to cease hostilities and begin negotiations. This marks significant U.S. pressure on Russia, with diplomatic efforts intensifying, including potential NATO involvement in peacekeeping operations.
A federal judge ruled that President Trump exceeded his constitutional authority by freezing U.S. humanitarian and development spending abroad.
Despite this, the judge did not mandate the restoration of the terminated contracts but ordered swift repayment of funds owed to aid groups. This decision marks a significant departure from longstanding U.S. foreign aid policies, traditionally viewed as bolstering national security by promoting global stability.

A legal loophole allows states to inflate Medicaid costs to receive more federal funds. By taxing or receiving donations from medical providers and returning these through increased reimbursements, states can bill the federal government for higher expenses.
This practice contributes to unnecessary spending within Medicaid’s $880 billion annual budget, raising concerns about the program’s financial integrity.

Firefighters and public safety officers in Washtenaw County got a searing experience with electric vehicle safety last autumn while battling a tragic automotive fire.
Firefighters who responded to a Sept. 18, 2024, fire near Plymouth dumped 3,000 gallons of water on a white 2020 Model 3 Tesla after it was struck by another vehicle. They also applied a fire blanket, which the fire consumed within 30 minutes.
The crash happened when a 2024 silver Nissan Rogue driving the wrong way on eastbound M-14 turned into the entrance ramp from Gotfredson Road, according to documents Michigan Capitol Confidential obtained through a records request from local and state agencies. The Rogue was going about 69 miles per hour when it struck the Tesla, killing both drivers and a passenger in the Nissan vehicle.
About 50,000 electric vehicles are registered in Michigan, according to the federal government. Although they account for a small percentage of Michigan’s vehicles, they present unique fire risks. An EV fire burns at roughly 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit, while a gasoline-powered vehicle on fire burns at 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit, according to the University of Clemson’s College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences.
Current EV technology isn’t ready for mass adoption, Hayes said.
“The examples in the documents CapCon received prove that EVs are not what we have been promised,” Hayes wrote.
Why did Rite AID close and shut down all stores in Michigan? What factors in the economy and policy arose to create the moment?
She costs as much as a house, is nearly as big as a wall, and the pharmacy staff at west Michigan’s Cassopolis Family Clinic don’t know what they’d do without Rosie the robot.
Installed last month, the machine that automatically fills prescription bottles has helped the clinic’s pharmacy staff keep up with an influx of new patients after Rite Aid pulled out of Michigan last year.
While such machines are rare outside of chain pharmacies, “for us, it was a no-brainer to get one of these, just because of the huge increase in business,” said Kevin Klipowicz, pharmacy director at the clinic that now includes Cassopolis’s only pharmacy.
Amid lower drug reimbursement rates, rising competition from online pharmacies, and a rise in mail-order prescriptions often required by insurance companies, big-name chain drug stores have contracted in recent years.
Since the local Rite Aid closed, the Cassopolis Family Clinic and its other location in Niles — which has had its own Rosie since August — has seen a 55% uptick in prescriptions, Klipowicz said.
“It’s crazy,” he said. “In some of these towns, (Rite Aid stores) were the only game in town, and they just pulled all out of the state. It left a lot of people in a hard place.”

Nearly three out of every four Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPO) requested were awarded by the courts in 2024; that marks the first year Michigan’s “Red Flag” gun law went into effect.
Now, GOP State Rep. James DeSana (R-Carleton) has filed bills to revoke the “Red Flag” gun law.
People filed a total of 391 ERPO complaints in Michigan from February through December 2024, according to data released from the state of Michigan. Of these, 384 complaints were filed against adults and seven were filed against minors. There were 287 orders issued, or 73% of the total Red Flag complaints filed

My Community Dental Centers, clinics linked to public health departments and designed to reach underserved Michiganders, closed six of its 34 locations last year because of staffing issues, said Kimberly Singh, chief of community and governmental affairs for the clinics.
Restrictions and requirements meant to stop the spread of COVID-19 hit dentists hard, Farrell said. Many dentists elected to retire or simply closed shop during the pandemic.
“I’d say we lost about 30% of the dental hygiene workforce,” Farrell said, “and it has not reached pre-pandemic levels.”
We had a surplus budget of billions. But after all the grift, port, and allowing the MEDC to hand our tax dollars to the scion of the Mother WEF-ers for technology that don’t work too good (sounds like Zoo-lander School) we don’t have money to support housing vouchers. She’s one of nearly 60,000 low-income Michiganders still on a waitlist for the Housing Choice Voucher program — previously known as Section 8 — a key tool in the country’s ongoing fight against homelessness.
The state closed its program to new applicants eight months ago, citing a federal funding gap caused by rising rents and stagnating incomes.
MSHDA stopped issuing new vouchers in July and closed its waitlist, pausing access to a program meant to help the state’s lowest income individuals find housing.
The state was not alone: Maine, Montana and Texas also stopped issuing vouchers last year. And just this month in California, the Los Angeles Housing Authority paused its program as well, attributing the stoppage to uncertainty around the federal budget.
The future of those programs remains in flux as federal lawmakers intent on slashing government spending debate future funding for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which distributes money to states.
Nationally, it’s estimated the Housing Choice Voucher program assists more than 5 million people in 2.3 million families, according to a 2024 study by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
Experts say the program is needed in Michigan, where average rents rose nearly 12.5% last year — the third highest year-over-year increase behind New Hampshire at 12.8% and Mississippi at 14.7%, according to a 2024 study from Rent.com.

Michigan receives electricity from Canada as part of midwest power grid configuration. Those who want to destabilize the grid with renewable energy now are worried that tariffs would impact energy prices. For 1% of our source. Again, there own solutions are worse than common sense economic measures to rebuild our economy. Michigan applauded Dana Darth Nessel for going after power companies, forcing them to shut down coal. Gretch is shutting down natural gas.
“This is a fluid situation and it is unclear whether the U.S. import tariffs apply to imports of electricity from Canada, and it is uncertain whether or when this will be resolved,” said Brandon Morris, a spokesman for MISO. “MISO has received no confirmation from federal agencies regarding the duties’ applicability to electricity or who will be responsible for paying or collecting them.”
Morris said less than 1% of MISO’s total energy in 2024 was supplied via Canadian imports. Less than half of that came from Ontario, he added.
“For context, that amount is equivalent to approximately one power plant,” he said.“MISO manages the loss of power plants like this every day to ensure reliability across our footprint.”
Meghan Sever, a spokesperson for Southwest Power Pool, another regional transmission operator that coordinates the grid for 19 million people in a region of the central U.S. that includes parts or all of 14 states from the Canadian border to Oklahoma and some parts of Texas, said the organization’s “reliance on imports from Canada is small enough that we don’t anticipate tariffs to have a significant impact on regional reliability.”

We are now in the month of the Crow Moon, the time when Northern American Indians designate as when the crows gather and the awakening of the sleeping bear draws near. This last month of winter is also the birth of month Founding Father James Madison. On tonight’s Sunday Nights Radio we are going to jump into the Ojibwe legend of the Crow Moon, the Sleeping Bear and her cubs, and learn about the Leelanau region in Northern Michigan. We’ll also spend some time getting acquainted with James Madison and Federalist 45.
https://www.notesfromthefrontier.com/post/native-american-moons
According to American Indian legends there are many names for the moon in the month of March. I chose the Crow Moon as on my drives up north in this late month of winter, I see more crows gathered on the side of the road.
FULL WORM MOON: March begins to see breaks in the brittle winter, the ice crust on rivers and streams begins to thaw, water trickles, the frozen earth softens, earthworms stir, and begin to shed their casts above ground. It is a welcome sign for Natives and for the birds, inviting the return of robins and other birds migrating back from warmer climes. Northern tribes knew this month as the Full Crow Moon when crows cawed gleefully the end of winter and life rising from the ground. Some tribes also called this the Full Crust Moon because snow and ice thawed in the warming sun but froze in a thin crust again at night. Others called this time Full Sap Moon, when tapping maple trees for their syrup, then boiling the sap down over roaring campfires was a busy time for some tribes.
This Anishinaabe story involves a sleeping bear. In this legend, a giant bear called “The Great Muckwah” terrorizes villages along the Michigan coast. The bear is eventually defeated by a young maiden who uses a potion to put it to sleep gently.
The name “Leelanau” itself is steeped in legend. According to one account, it originates from the Anishinaabe language, meaning “land of the delightful waters.” This name aptly describes the peninsula’s abundance of lakes, rivers, and streams.
Another tale suggests that a French fur trader named Jacques DeMotte, upon discovering the peninsula in the 1600s, exclaimed “le beau sol!” meaning “the beautiful soil!” Over time, this phrase evolved into “Leelanau”.
These legends and historical accounts demonstrate the rich cultural tapestry of Leelanau County, blending Native American heritage with European settlement and the natural beauty of the Great Lakes region.
Here’s a timeline of James Madison’s life, focusing on his early education, impact during the American Revolution, and contributions to the US Constitution:
https://www.montpelier.org/learn/the-life-of-james-madison/
Madison drafted a document known as the Virginia Plan, which provided the framework for the Constitution of the United States. Madison, then 36, spent the months leading up to the convention in Montpelier’s library, studying many centuries of political philosophy and histories of past attempts at republican forms of government. His plan proposed a central government with three branches that would check and balance each other, keeping any one branch from wielding too much power. No such government had ever been created before, and Madison had to use all of his diplomatic skill to argue for his position. He also had to accept compromises to ensure that the Convention would produce a Constitution that all the states could accept.

More than one million federal staffers, fewer than half the government’s workforce, have responded to Elon Musk’s demand to come up with five things they accomplished on the job last week, the White House said Tuesday.
The edict was emailed to federal workers Saturday, with Musk announcing a deadline of 11:59 p.m. Monday to answer while warning on X that “failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.”
Musk then walked back his threat Monday evening and offered the staffers a second chance to submit their responses.
“I can announce that we’ve had more than one million workers who have chosen to participate in this very simple task of, again, sending five bullet points to your direct supervisor or manager,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters.
The current federal workface is made up of 2.4 million people, excluding active-duty military and Postal Service employees, according to Trump administration data.
https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/ev-chargers-federal-buildings-set-go-dark
The federal agency responsible for overseeing government-owned buildings has directed all properties under its management to shut down electric vehicle charging stations.
Bloomberg reported that the General Services Administration, which oversees hundreds of EV chargers nationwide at federal buildings—currently operating 8,000 plugs with plans to expand rapidly in the coming years—recently sent an email outlining the plan to shut down the chargers. The Verge first reported the development last week.
“As GSA has worked to align with the current administration, we have received direction that all GSA-owned charging stations are not mission-critical,” the email reads, adding, “Neither Government Owned Vehicles nor Privately Owned Vehicles will be able to charge at these charging stations once they’re out of service.”
This month, the Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration ended a $5 billion program that helped states build EV charging stations along US highways.
We feel this is a smart move that stops the inefficient federal government from expanding its EV charging infrastructure plan. GSA’s chargers were likely costing taxpayers a fortune without any clear ROI.

SCOTUS has already established on multiple occasions that Immigration is completely controlled by the Executive Branch. https://t.co/alhlFjgvTP
The Trump administration received a $25 billion pitch from prominent defense contractors to set up military-style “processing camps” to help carry out mass migrant deportations, a new report says.
The aggressive blueprint, spearheaded by the likes of former Blackwater CEO Erik Prince and COO Bill Mathews, aims to use a range of tactics to swiftly boot 12 million illegal migrants from the US before the 2026 midterms.
As part of the proposal, the contractors fired off a list of Army bases that would be suitable to build “camps” that could be up-and-running “in less than one week.”
The proposal suggests enlisting about 10,000 citizens – including veterans, ex-cops and retired ICE agents – to give them similar powers to immigration officials who would report to “border czar” Tom Homan.
“In order to save the US economy, the nation has to eject as many of these illegal aliens as quickly as possible,” the pitch insists
Vice President JD Vance advised immigrants to the US to give up their previous country’s loyalties and embrace American interests — saying it’s “offensive” to “use” their influence in a new country to settle conflicts in the old.
“During my senate campaign in 2022, I met a Ukrainian-American man in NE Ohio. He was very angry about my views on the conflict, and my desire to bring it to a rapid close,” Vance wrote, adding that the man told him, “You are trying to abandon my country, and I don’t like it.”
“‘Sir, I replied, ‘your country is the United States of America, and so is mine,’” Vance wrote.
The vice president added that he finds it “offensive” when individuals use American influence to try to end conflicts at home.

TULSI GABBARD TO FIRE EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THE NSA SEX CHAT SCANDAL. https://t.co/gaJN526ILq
— john jackson (@pvtjokerus) February 25, 2025
According to documents obtained by the City Journal, several NSA employees participated in group chats on the agency’s Intelink messaging program to talk about things like “genital castration, artificial vaginas, piss fetishes, sex polycules, and gangbangs,” according to co-author Christopher Rufo, as well as some of their own gender transition drug use and cosmetic surgical interventions.
The NSA said employees who misuse the Intelink program for discussions unrelated to the agency’s mission would be disciplined, according to the report, stating, “All NSA employees sign agreements stating that publishing non-mission related material on Intelink is a usage violation and will result in disciplinary action.”
Confirming the authenticity of the chat groups, the NSA said, “The agency put an enormous amount of trust in people allowed to use government systems. There is an expectation for full compliance with all of the laws and policies clearly posted on all those systems. We are continuing to look into this issue. We’re taking actions against any and all employees who abused this system.”

Edginton can be heard asking Crenshaw if he had ever met Carlson, to which he replied, “We have talked a lot over Twitter — if I ever meet him I’ll probably kill him.”
“He’s the worst person,” Crenshaw added, before walking off camera.
Carlson responded to the video by inviting the congressman on his show.
“Why don’t you come sit for an interview and we’ll see how you do? I’ll send you my address, @DanCrenshawTX,” the news personality posted, responding to a comment from Elon Musk that asked why Crenshaw is “homicidal regarding Tucker”:

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Tuesday that President Trump’s administration will take direct control of the composition of the daily press pool after winning an initial court decision Monday over its two-week exclusion of the Associated Press.
The change sets aside decades of historical deference to the White House Correspondents’ Association, but it’s unclear to what extent the move actually will change the mix of reporters given close access to Trump.
“It’s beyond time that the White House press operation reflects the media habits of the American people in 2025, not 1925. A select group of DC-based journalists should no longer have a monopoly over the privilege of press access at the White House,” Leavitt said at a press briefing.
Former FBI agent Tim Thibault improperly shared investigative information — and a nude photo of his girlfriend — with people outside the bureau via his government email while also allegedly shielding then-first son Hunter Biden from a federal criminal investigation, according to emails obtained by two Republican senators.
Thibault, a former agent in the FBI’s Washington Field Office (WFO), sent multiple messages to his flame Melissa Morgan-Ransome between February and May 2022 that divulged official documents, the names of other bureau employees and even “sensitive” details about an ongoing investigation.
In April of that year, Thibault also apparently forwarded a naked picture of his purported lover from his FBI email account to both her and a George Washington University email address linked to himself.

Under the Biden-Harris administration, farmers were forced to cull tens of millions of egg-laying hens to contain the bird flu outbreak. As a direct result, the nation’s total egg-laying flock has plunged to its lowest level in nearly a decade, driving wholesale egg prices to record highs.
Trump stated this week that Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins will take action on soaring egg prices, adding, “We inherited all the problems.”
Trump is correct in saying the egg-flation mess was “inherited,” as the latest Bloomberg data shows that the nation’s egg-laying hen population fell to its lowest level since 2016 last month. This decline was driven by farmers being forced to cull flocks under Biden’s first term to curb the bird flu outbreak.

We are on the event horizon of the singularity

As a Tech Bro and proponent of AI and merging with the machine, I think Elon fails where many of the tech elite fail, and that is solely a materialist view. All is in the material, which misses the essence that Heinlein meant with his term “grok”. Yeah, it’s cool to call an AI system something from a popular sci-fi book and to connect the products mission with a deeper profound understanding, but as I see it, if AI is a stepping stone to the singularity and sentient machines that will absorb our essence, I think this concept better belongs with re-animists and alchemists.
Glenn asked Grok about the pace with which the Grok platform advances through learning. He also asked Grok to contrast its pace of development with that of humans. These are good questions to ask. I don’t know if Grok provides truthful answers or not, but the responses were thought provoking.
Grok responded that with the 1000s requests that it performs to evaluate and conceptualize concepts on a daily basis, it estimated that its growth in “understanding” was the equivalent of a human’s learning over a 5 – 10 year period in 12 hours. Glenn also asked for Grok to guestimate and quantify its level of understanding compared to a human. Grok responded that its current capability was well above the logical reasoning of someone with the IQ of 100, and it had the capability of encyclopedic recall at retrieval speeds far superior to humans. This knowledge base was updated on a daily basis.
Community Notes, like any style of Wikipedia “Truth Voting”, has been always been compromised. Dr Peter McCullough in 2024 described how he was not alerted to the Community Notes that had been added to his tweets. He could not see them.
https://www.thefocalpoints.com/p/twitter-community-notes-deceptively
As a final mention, this community note posting to my Tweet was concealed to my account, so I had no idea it was there until a friend showed it to me last night. So please understand that Fact-Checkers and Twitter Community Notes writers have the common goal of pushing the vaccine agenda without exception from the very beginning of the crisis, and thus, represent an organized army of propagandists for the Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex.

I have always wondered about how many people rely on hashtags to search for topics on social media and whether they have any impact.
The use of hashtags was first proposed by American blogger Chris Messina in a 2007 tweet.[3][4] Messina felt that “they were born of the internet, and owned by no one”.[5][6] Hashtags became entrenched in the culture of Twitter[7] and soon emerged across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.[8][9] In June 2014, hashtag was added to the Oxford English Dictionary as “a word or phrase with the symbol # in front of it, used on social media websites and apps so that you can search for all messages with the same subject”.[10][11
Elon claimed that there was no way to game the system, to influence Community Notes. This is was naive at best, but stupid at worst. How would you prevent groups from swarming an online community? There are several Community Notes members who have an incredibly high volume of notes.
Elon Musk apparently no longer believes that crowdsourcing fact-checking through Community Notes can never be manipulated and is, thus, the best way to correct bad posts on his social media platform X.
Community Notes are supposed to be added to posts to limit misinformation spread after a broad consensus is reached among X users with diverse viewpoints on what corrections are needed. But Musk now claims a “fix” is needed to prevent supposedly outside influencers from allegedly gaming the system.
“Unfortunately, @CommunityNotes is increasingly being gamed by governments & legacy media,” Musk wrote on X. “Working to fix this.”
Musk’s announcement came after Community Notes were added to X posts discussing a poll generating favorable ratings for Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. That poll was conducted by a private Ukrainian company in partnership with a state university whose supervisory board was appointed by the Ukrainian government, creating what Musk seems to view as a conflict of interest.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s pitch to President Donald Trump about bringing a semiconductor manufacturing plant to Genesee County may be short-lived once Trump learns she’s given taxpayer money to China to set up shop in Michigan.
However, Trump said the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) will ensure China’s restrictions in the U.S. when it comes to “technology, critical infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, energy, raw materials, and others.” The president said he sees American farmland as a resource to protect from foreign access.
According to the White House, “China owns more than 350,000 acres of farmland across 27 states.”

The Biden administration is reportedly trying to quickly close pending deals with about 20 companies — including one considering Michigan — under the CHIPS and Science Act, which offers subsidies to bring semiconductor manufacturing to the United States.
With time running out before the state and federal political landscape shifts, efforts are continuing this fall to turn about 1,300 acres near the Flint Bishop Airport into a megasite for a high-tech factory, even as new questions emerge about ongoing support for the project.
The Mundy Township property has been marketed to “those that are going to create at least 2,000 direct jobs and invest $2 billion or more,” Tyler Rossmaessler, executive director of the Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance, the economic development group leading the project, told Bridge this week.

“[I]n the 14-day voter registration window, we make notes of the residency and Photo ID used to register and our records indicate that he showed an MCard and his Wolverine Access to prove local residency,” wrote Ann Arbor City Clerk Jacqueline Beaudry in documents published by Michigan Enjoyer. “We have copies of the voter registration form that both includes a checked box and an affirming statement of citizenship.”
Since Beaudry admitted her office took notes of residency and photo ID used to vote, The Federalist filed a Freedom of Information Act request for the students who voted with an “MCard” or “Wolverine Access” from Oct. 22 to Nov. 5. As student IDs allow noncitizens to register or vote — as shown in Gao’s case — these records could reveal other noncitizen voters.
Only US Citizens Can Vote
The FOIA coordinator for the Michigan Bureau of Elections denied the request, saying that “the Department does not possess records responsive to your request.” She said officials “would have to create a document in order to answer this” and “the Department is not obligated to conduct research or create records in order to respond to a request.”
Benson’s office claims online that “only U.S citizens can vote” and “[t]here is no evidence to support claims that large numbers of noncitizens have voted.”
“[T]he name of everyone who registers or votes in an election is a public record — it would be very easy to see if noncitizens were registering or voting in large numbers,” Benson’s website reads.
Michigan’s largest health care system continues to defy President Donald Trump, most recently by shipping nearly 200 Michigan jobs to India.
Corewell Health last week laid off about 186 remote Michigan workers responsible for the company’s billing and finance operations, offshoring those functions instead to India-based workers with AGSHealth, owned by New York private equity firm Altaris Capital Partners, Deadline Detroit reports.
The decision, part of Corewell Health CEO Tina Freese Decker’s efforts to cut costs, both defies Trump’s efforts to keep jobs in the U.S. and raises serious concerns about data security, with foreign nationals gaining access to critical personal patient information, from social security numbers, to medical records, to financial data.
“If I was a Corewell patient, I wouldn’t be comfortable if someone from another country was looking at my (private) information,” a fired Corewell worker told Deadline Detroit.
The news site notes 42% of U.S. residents were involved in healthcare security breaches last year.

Every single time we have a problem we call for a study. And in order to have study you need to escalate the subject of that study to the level of crisis. All our screen time we relegate to our kids leaves little time for participation in activities that would lead to communities forming solutions that work for them. Sports, church, Scouting, Robotics Clubs.
The market won’t bear the cost to families that actually pays the true cost of providing care,” McNabb said. “So even though it’s a very high cost for families, providers aren’t making enough to pay a living wage to the people they hire.”
It took in-home care provider Christina Evans, owner of Wild Ginger Day Care in nearby Bellaire, two years to hire her last assistant. Even with that assistant, Evans says she works about 70 hours a week caring for about a dozen kids per day.
“My spots are full,” Evans said. “I wish I could have fewer kids, because some days are so hard. My toddlers need so much supervision.”
Despite increased attention to the child care crisis, Michigan still lags some states in investing in solutions.
Minnesota, for example, has implemented legislation to invest $1.3 billion over four years to lower child care prices for families.
One study in Michigan calculated that the state would need to spend $3.2 billion more per year to solve the child care crisis, above the $1 billion already going to early education.
Administrator Lee Zeldin said he will use his agency to advocate for continuing operation of the Line 5 dual pipeline that has traversed approximately four miles above the lakebed of the Straits of Mackinac. He also expressed his support for removing the pipelines to a proposed tunnel that would be built 100 feet in the bedrock of the Straits.
