Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to visit the White House on Friday amid reports he is finalizing a mineral rights access deal with the Trump administration.

President Trump told reporters in the Oval Office Tuesday that he heard Zelensky was visiting on Friday, “and certainly it’s OK with me if he’d like to” – as cited in The Hill and other outlets.

“Without the United States and its money and its military equipment, this war would have been over in a very short period of time,” Trump said in the remarks.

Apparently Zelensky finally acquiesced after the negotiating teams reached agreement on a final draft that does not include a US demand that it would have rights to $500 billion in future revenue. Details remain largely unknown at this early stage.

More than one million federal staffers, fewer than half the government’s workforce, have responded to Elon Musk’s demand to come up with five things they accomplished on the job last week, the White House said Tuesday.

The edict was emailed to federal workers Saturday, with Musk announcing a deadline of 11:59 p.m. Monday to answer while warning on X that “failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.”

Musk then walked back his threat Monday evening and offered the staffers a second chance to submit their responses.

“I can announce that we’ve had more than one million workers who have chosen to participate in this very simple task of, again, sending five bullet points to your direct supervisor or manager,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters.

 

The current federal workface is made up of 2.4 million people, excluding active-duty military and Postal Service employees, according to Trump administration data.

EV Chargers At GSA Go Dark

The federal agency responsible for overseeing government-owned buildings has directed all properties under its management to shut down electric vehicle charging stations.

Bloomberg reported that the General Services Administration, which oversees hundreds of EV chargers nationwide at federal buildings—currently operating 8,000 plugs with plans to expand rapidly in the coming years—recently sent an email outlining the plan to shut down the chargers. The Verge first reported the development last week.

“As GSA has worked to align with the current administration, we have received direction that all GSA-owned charging stations are not mission-critical,” the email reads, adding, “Neither Government Owned Vehicles nor Privately Owned Vehicles will be able to charge at these charging stations once they’re out of service.” 

This month, the Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration ended a $5 billion program that helped states build EV charging stations along US highways. 

We feel this is a smart move that stops the inefficient federal government from expanding its EV charging infrastructure plan. GSA’s chargers were likely costing taxpayers a fortune without any clear ROI.

The Trump administration received a $25 billion pitch from prominent defense contractors to set up military-style “processing camps” to help carry out mass migrant deportations, a new report says.

The aggressive blueprint, spearheaded by the likes of former Blackwater CEO Erik Prince and COO Bill Mathews, aims to use a range of tactics to swiftly boot 12 million illegal migrants from the US before the 2026 midterms.

As part of the proposal, the contractors fired off a list of Army bases that would be suitable to build “camps” that could be up-and-running “in less than one week.”

The proposal suggests enlisting about 10,000 citizens – including veterans, ex-cops and retired ICE agents – to give them similar powers to immigration officials who would report to “border czar” Tom Homan.

“In order to save the US economy, the nation has to eject as many of these illegal aliens as quickly as possible,” the pitch insists

Vice President JD Vance advised immigrants to the US to give up their previous country’s loyalties and embrace American interests — saying it’s “offensive” to “use” their influence in a new country to settle conflicts in the old.

“During my senate campaign in 2022, I met a Ukrainian-American man in NE Ohio. He was very angry about my views on the conflict, and my desire to bring it to a rapid close,” Vance wrote, adding that the man told him, “You are trying to abandon my country, and I don’t like it.”

“‘Sir, I replied, ‘your country is the United States of America, and so is mine,’” Vance wrote.

The vice president added that he finds it “offensive” when individuals use American influence to try to end conflicts at home.

According to documents obtained by the City Journal, several NSA employees participated in group chats on the agency’s Intelink messaging program to talk about things like “genital castration, artificial vaginas, piss fetishes, sex polycules, and gangbangs,” according to co-author Christopher Rufo, as well as some of their own gender transition drug use and cosmetic surgical interventions.

 

The NSA said employees who misuse the Intelink program for discussions unrelated to the agency’s mission would be disciplined, according to the report, stating, “All NSA employees sign agreements stating that publishing non-mission related material on Intelink is a usage violation and will result in disciplinary action.”

Confirming the authenticity of the chat groups, the NSA said, “The agency put an enormous amount of trust in people allowed to use government systems. There is an expectation for full compliance with all of the laws and policies clearly posted on all those systems. We are continuing to look into this issue. We’re taking actions against any and all employees who abused this system.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced Tuesday that President Trump’s administration will take direct control of the composition of the daily press pool after winning an initial court decision Monday over its two-week exclusion of the Associated Press.

The change sets aside decades of historical deference to the White House Correspondents’ Association, but it’s unclear to what extent the move actually will change the mix of reporters given close access to Trump.

“It’s beyond time that the White House press operation reflects the media habits of the American people in 2025, not 1925. A select group of DC-based journalists should no longer have a monopoly over the privilege of press access at the White House,” Leavitt said at a press briefing.

Former FBI agent Tim Thibault improperly shared investigative information — and a nude photo of his girlfriend — with people outside the bureau via his government email while also allegedly shielding then-first son Hunter Biden from a federal criminal investigation, according to emails obtained by two Republican senators.

Thibault, a former agent in the FBI’s Washington Field Office (WFO), sent multiple messages to his flame Melissa Morgan-Ransome between February and May 2022 that divulged official documents, the names of other bureau employees and even “sensitive” details about an ongoing investigation.

In April of that year, Thibault also apparently forwarded a naked picture of his purported lover from his FBI email account to both her and a George Washington University email address linked to himself.

Under the Biden-Harris administration, farmers were forced to cull tens of millions of egg-laying hens to contain the bird flu outbreak. As a direct result, the nation’s total egg-laying flock has plunged to its lowest level in nearly a decade, driving wholesale egg prices to record highs.

Trump stated this week that Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins will take action on soaring egg prices, adding, “We inherited all the problems.”

Trump is correct in saying the egg-flation mess was “inherited,” as the latest Bloomberg data shows that the nation’s egg-laying hen population fell to its lowest level since 2016 last month. This decline was driven by farmers being forced to cull flocks under Biden’s first term to curb the bird flu outbreak.
